  This is the last piece of Hatgil pottery owned by Professor Hatgil. It took me several years to finally get him to turn loose of it.  I was thrilled to finally get it.

  If you’ve been to the university’s Visitor Center
  in Walter Webb Hall, if you’ve looked up at the top of the McCombs
  School of Business building or if you’ve visited the Bass Concert Hall,
  you’ve probably seen the art of Professor Emeritus Paul Hatgil.  During his tenure of 34 years at The University of Texas at Austin,
  Hatgil instructed more than 2,000 students in the art of ceramics,
  sculpture and two- and three-dimensional design. Many of his works adorn
  public and private buildings and are included in national and
  international collections.
