ANTIQUE HAND MADE TEXAS FURNITURE 1830s-1890s
Texas has a rich heritage of craftsman making handmade Texas Furniture. Typically, this furniture was made as a necessity since there were no
"factories" mass producing furniture in the day. The majority of the special work ended when the railroads came to Texas but there were still many folks
out on the farm making their own furniture until the late 1890s and in some cases a little bit later. I would think that the majority of the craftsman were
German.
