Jack Grisham was born in Denton Country, Texas in December of
1913. He died in Denton County, Texas in May of 1994. He
lived most of his life in southern California where he owned Jac's Art
Shoppe located in Studio City, California for approximately 30 years.
He was a self-taught artist, never taking a lesson that I am aware
of. The majority of his paintings were of California landscapes
and seascapes and Texas landscapes. He also painted landscapes of
Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Utah.
His mediums of choice were oil and acrylic, and he occasionally used charcoal and pen and ink.
