  • The White Elephant was a segregated Texas Saloon. &nbsp;That being said, I am guessing that all if not most businesses during that time period were segregated but this establishment proclaimed it in it's name. &nbsp;The White Elephant served only Whites. &nbsp;The Black Elephant Saloon only served Blacks. &nbsp;There was a White Elephant Saloon in Fort Worth as well as in Fredericksburg Texas.<br><br><br>
