Frances Beeson Smith (d.2010) was a Fort Worth, Texas artist working in the Regionalist style and focusing on scenes from her travels in rural New Mexico. She graduated from Central High School (now Paschal High School) in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1928. She later taught at Lily B. Clayton Elementary School, Fort Worth. Beeson's Scrapbook, "My Golden Hours: A Record of My School Days," kept during her entire four-year high school career (1924-1928), is part of the Special Collections Library at the University of Texas Arlington. Beeson Smith was later art teacher at Lily B. Clayton School and instructor at Fort Worth Public Library.
