    Erv Johnson

Erv Johnson began his career in the 1960's with the Artist's Guild in San Francisco. After he determined he wanted to be a professional painter, Mr. Johnson started his formal training with Roger White, who was an Associate Professor of Fine Art at the University of Oklahoma. Experimenting with various techniques and subject matter, Mr. Johnson evolved into his current painting style of compositions of ancient Indian Pottery on suede leather. This imparts the desired texture to his art work. With an emphasis on authenticity, Mr. Johnson strives not to compromise the integrity of the subject matter he is painting. His artwork is featured in museums as well as in private collections throughout the world.
